Did NSA delete all of their surveillance data of just some people or everyone?

Flashback: Looks like they have something to hide. Of course, there will be no one held responsible for this (in a huge bureaucracy no one takes the blame). In the first place spying on Americans should be illegal, but when the people demand that the surveillance be turned over so we can prove the severe corruption of certain individual politicians- well, then conveniently it goes missing.
